I bought a 100 year old house a couple of years ago. It was a rental for 20 + years and it needed some love to say the least.There was years of paint build up on the simple colonial trim. It was improperly applied latex over oil. It was coming off in places and in places so thick that you could not see detail on the trim. I knew the house had hardwood floors when we looked at it but they were covered with carpet. Before we moved in, I removed the carpet and to my dismay there underneath was what I believe to be at least 30 year old carpet backing and glue. I had to remove the carpet as it smelled of the pets that previously lived there but I could not refinish my floors immediately.
I remembered your products from watching This Old House as a child with my parents. I am only 35 right now. I found your site and looked at all you had to offer. We found that Smart Strip was sold at our local Sherwin Williams store. We bought a gallon and began to try it out on our built in china closet as it was the most detailed piece we had in the house. We also purchased the Peel Away paper from a local online seller. The Smart Strip smelled nice and was easy to apply. The paper worked wonders and allowed us to have a life while the product did it's job. I am sorry I don't have pictures of the before and after.
My finance and I lamented for a long time about what we should do with our floors. I was embarrassed to have people over as our floors looked awful. We are DIY people but wanted to do our floors on a budget by ourselves. The budget we had would be eaten up in the cost of sanding belts or disks just trying to get the glue and carpet backing off the floors. Plus refinishing the floors would be a first for either of us, we were afraid of gouging the floors with the sander. Again I went to your site and I found the Peel Away 5 adhesive remover. I purchased it from a local seller and started to use it on my dining room floor. It was very easy to apply gel and within a matter of 4 hours. I had my hardwood back. See attached pic.

Hello, this is Joy S. from Tucson
Arizona. I just got done using
the Peel Away® 7 on the exterior brick on my home. It worked great. I have enclosed some pictures of the work. It was surprisingly easy to use. I just applied about a 1/8 in thick layer over the brick and applied the Peel Away® Paper. I then let it sit most of the day. I then removed it with a pressure washer. It came off no problem. I am looking to do the back of my home soon and will be purchasing again.
