1. PRODUCT NAME: PEEL-A WAY 7

2.MANUFACTURER: Dumond Chemicals

3.PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION: The PEEL-AWAY 7 System is an environmentaly safe paint remover that has been specifically formulated to remove high strength chemically resistant coatings i.e. epoxies, urethanes, chlorinated rubber, slastameric, aluminum, vinyls, mastics, automobile paints and most marine coatings. There is NO rnethylene chloride nor caustic or any other highly flammable solvent in the product. The chemicals in PEEL-AWAY 7 have been selected for their very low evaporation rate which means in some cases you will have to give the product more time to work then with some of the more aggressive chemical products but the end result will be the same. PEEL-AWAY 7 contains no water and in most cases will do the removal job in a single application. The product can be used with or without the PEEL-AWAY fibrous laminated cloth and that decision depends on testing that is done prior to specifying the product. PEEL-AWAY 7 is a paste that is either brushed, rolled or sprayed over the surface to be stripped. It is allowed to set for the time frame that is predetemined by the test areas and then is either scraped or power washed from the surface.

ADVANTAGES AND LIMITATIONS: DOES NOT CONTAIN METHYLENE CHLORIDE OR CAUSTIC. Normal ventilation is required and the product will easily hold on a vertical or overhead surface. Stays effective longer without evaporation. Product efficiency is reduced below a temperature of 400 F. It may not work on some epoxy coatings and will not work on most cementitious coatings. Test patches should be made on unknown surface coatings.

5. PREPARATORY WORK: ft is often impossible to know the type of coating or condition of the surface before paint is removed. Before a project is started It is important that a small test area be done typical of the surface to be stripped to ensure that the results will be satisfactory. It will allow the user to determine the important thickness at which the product is applied to the sur- face and the time values for removing the product.

APPLICATION: Apply paste about 1/1 6- to 1/8' according to age and thickness of coatings (pro determined by test patches) being removed by either brushing, tolling or spraying the product onto the surface being stripped. Leave on for the prescribed time frarne and then remove by sliding a broad or putty knife under the paste and easing the paste away from the surface. Clean residue on the surface with a pressure wash. In some cases ft might be necessary to use a scrub brush to create some agitation on the surface prior to the wash down. Collect material removed, and dispose of in compliance with local regulations. NOTE: Protect skin and eyes from con- tact and wear a carbon filter mask or equivalent when working in a confined area.
